This course is designed to meet university, state, and community college English requirements and to prepare students for the California High School Exit Exam. It provides a balanced, unified program of instruction in language, literature, and composition, engaging students in appropriate practice in listening, reading, speaking, writing, and critical thinking skills. This course will also provide a broad background in fundamental English skills, Internet research, and traditional contemporary literature.
